The mangrove is barely alive and clings to life by a thread. There were virtually no leaves on the mangrove tree on the western side of the Macleay Island. As the early morning sun surfaced, and brought life to the world; the mangrove breathed in. Was it for the last time? There is hope. A small shoot is growing from the bottom of the tree.
